Future Golf Expands Tech Membership to United States
Australia's Future Golf has launched its technology-driven multi-course membership model in California. The platform aims to broaden access to golf for players across the United States.

Australian Golf Community Enters US Market
Future Golf, an Australian golf community and membership platform, has commenced its expansion into the United States. The company, which operates a technology-driven model, has initially launched its services in California. This move by Australia’s largest golf community shows a strategic effort to make golf more accessible and flexible for players.
Future Golf announced its official entry into the American market on 10 September 2026, marking a significant step in its international growth. The platform intends to connect American golfers with a network of courses, leveraging its established model from Australia.
Membership Structure and Growth
Established in Australia in 2014, Future Golf has expanded to include over 60,000 golfers. Its core offering involves a single membership managed through a unified application. This system provides members with access to a network of participating courses, alongside specific benefits and scheduled events.
The platform also includes handicap tracking, scoring tools, and performance analytics, fostering a connected golf community. Ali Terai, Founder and CEO of Future Golf, stated the company’s mission focuses on removing barriers to playing by prioritising access, flexibility, and connection. He noted California was selected for its strong golf culture and openness to innovation.
US Rollout Strategy and Founding Members
The initial rollout for Future Golf begins in California. The company plans to rapidly extend its network to approximately 60 or more participating courses across several states. These target markets include Nevada, Texas, Arizona, and Florida, with additional regions to follow as the nationwide expansion proceeds.
To mark its U.S. debut, Future Golf has introduced a Founding Membership programme. This limited offering is available to the first 1,000 U.S. members. Founding Members receive 12 rounds at partner courses, access to exclusive member benefits and events, a customised, individually numbered cap, and lifetime locked membership pricing.
Partnership with Eastside Golf
Future Golf has also initiated a partnership with Eastside Golf, a golf lifestyle brand. This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to expanding representation and accessibility within the sport. Earl Cooper, Co-Founder of Eastside Golf, stated that his brand has consistently advocated for golf to be inclusive for everyone.
He noted that Future Golf’s emphasis on community and creating more pathways for participation aligns directly with Eastside Golf’s mission to broaden engagement and introduce new energy into the sport.
Beyond player services, Future Golf also works with course operators to drive new player adoption, increase course participation, and strengthen long-term customer engagement through its platform.
Implications for Asia's Golf Industry
While Future Golf's immediate expansion targets the United States, its model of tech-driven, multi-course access holds relevance for Asia's golf sector. The success of such platforms in Western markets could prompt golf operators and technology providers across Asia to consider similar membership frameworks.
These models could address varying course access and membership structures prevalent in many Asian countries. Implementing such an approach might offer new avenues for player engagement and course utilisation, particularly in regions with growing golf populations.
However, differences in regulatory environments, club ownership, and existing membership cultures across Asia would require significant adaptation for such a model to thrive locally.
