Via.com Launches New Indonesian Golf Packages
Via.com introduces new golf packages for corporate and independent travellers, covering destinations like Bandung and Yogyakarta from US$570 per person.

Indonesian Operators Expand Niche Offerings
Indonesian inbound and outbound tour operators are increasingly focusing on specialised travel products, responding to a growing demand from travellers seeking specific experiences. This strategic shift includes the development of golf tours, alongside other niche offerings such as MotoGP excursions, wellness retreats, and pilgrimage routes.
These diverse programmes were prominently displayed at the recent Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GITF 2026), highlighting an industry-wide move towards more curated travel options for both domestic and international visitors. The trend shows operators adapting their services to cater to a market that prioritises the purpose and activities of their trips.
Via.com Introduces New Golf Programmes
Responding to this evolving market, Via.com has launched new golf packages this year. Vincent, partner growth manager at Via.com, observed a reported increase in demand for golf-focused excursions, prompting the company to develop these dedicated programmes. The packages are tailored for both corporate clients and independent travellers (FITs) looking for a golf-centric getaway.
Domestic programmes commence at 10 million rupiah, which is approximately US$570 per person. These trips typically last two to three days, offering a concise yet comprehensive golf experience in popular Indonesian destinations.
Key Golf Destinations and Itineraries
The newly introduced golf packages by Via.com feature key destinations such as Bandung and Yogyakarta, known for their golf courses and surrounding attractions. These short itineraries are designed to provide a focused golf holiday, allowing travellers to enjoy multiple rounds without requiring an extended stay.
While the primary focus is on golf, the compact nature of these two to three-day trips also allows for some exploration of the local culture and scenery in these regions. The pricing structure and duration aim to make golf travel more accessible to a broader segment of the Indonesian market.
Implications for Golfers and the Industry
The expansion of golf travel programmes by operators like Via.com provides a more structured and convenient pathway for golfers planning trips within Indonesia. The clear pricing, starting from 10 million rupiah (US$570) for a two to three-day package to Bandung or Yogyakarta, offers transparency for budgeting.
For the golf tourism sector, this indicates a strategic effort to cultivate specific market segments, even if they are considered niche. However, operators will need to closely monitor booking conversions.
Riyas Fathur, product development specialist at Aerowisata Travel, noted that while interest in specialised tours is strong, actual bookings often depend on prevailing economic conditions and precise timing. Golfers can anticipate further refinement and diversification of these tailored travel options in the near future.
