Madinaty Golf Club in New Cairo, Egypt, is set to host the 13th annual World Golf Awards from 5 to 7 November 2026. This event signifies a notable milestone as it will be the first time the World Golf Awards are staged in Africa.
The gathering is expected to draw prominent figures from the global golf and golf tourism sectors, including industry leaders, tourism organisations, and destination representatives from various countries. The three-day programme culminates with a Gala Ceremony on the evening of 7 November.
Chris Frost, Managing Director of World Golf Awards, stated that hosting the event at Madinaty Golf Club for its inaugural African edition is an honour, recognising the venue as an internationally recognised destination.
Championship Course Features and Past Events
The centrepiece of the event's golfing itinerary will be the World Golf Awards Classic, scheduled to be played on Madinaty Golf Club’s 18-hole Championship Course.
This par 71 layout measures 6,900 yards and was designed by acclaimed architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course has previously demonstrated its capacity to host international competitions, notably staging the 2022 Asian Tour International Series.
Attendees will also be welcomed at The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo, which is serving as the Official Accommodation Partner for the event. Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Business Development Officer for TMG, the club's owner, expressed delight at Madinaty Golf Club's selection, viewing it as an affirmation of the quality of their facilities.
