Topgolf and John Daly Formalise Partnership

Dallas-based Topgolf, a leader in sports entertainment, has announced a multi-year partnership with two-time Major champion John Daly. This agreement will feature Daly's distinct persona, appearances, and brand presence at various Topgolf venues throughout the United States.

The collaboration expands upon Daly's prior engagements at Topgolf's Augusta location during the first Major of 2026, and will now encompass live events, exclusive branded content, and novel guest experiences across the company’s US network.

Daly expressed enthusiasm for Topgolf's atmosphere, describing it as a setting where individuals can enjoy hitting golf balls, listening to music, and socialising with friends and family, aligning with his personal approach to the sport.

New Offerings and Venue Activations

To mark the commencement of this multi-year collaboration, Topgolf is reintroducing "Topgolf Nights," alongside several fresh guest offerings. Starting Thursday, 22 October 2026, and continuing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, "Topgolf Nights" will provide late-night play at special rates, giveaways, and curated DJ playlists at participating US venues.

This initiative aims to capture the high-energy spirit associated with Daly. Additionally, two ready-to-drink, non-carbonated John Daly Signature Beverages will be added to the menu at 55 Topgolf locations. Exclusive "Daly Vibe at Topgolf" merchandise will also become available for purchase at these venues, enhancing the fan experience.

Future Engagements and Strategic Vision

The partnership extends to future appearances, with John Daly scheduled to visit Topgolf's Augusta, Georgia, venue during the first major golf tournament of both 2027 and 2028.

David McKillips, Chief Executive Officer at Topgolf, commented on the natural fit of the collaboration, stating that Daly's unique character and disruption of traditional golf align with Topgolf's mission to remove barriers to playing the game. McKillips emphasised that Daly embodies the fun-centric ethos of Topgolf.

Further details regarding a significant new event for Topgolf and John Daly enthusiasts are expected to be unveiled early next year, suggesting more initiatives are in development.

Implications for Asia's Golf Entertainment Sector

While this multi-year partnership primarily focuses on Topgolf's operations within the United States, its global reach, with over 100 venues worldwide, suggests potential implications for Asia's burgeoning golf entertainment sector.

The strategy of leveraging a globally recognised golf personality like John Daly to enhance brand appeal and offer unique guest experiences could serve as a model for similar ventures in Asian markets.

As urban centres across Asia increasingly embrace leisure and entertainment concepts, the success of such celebrity-led initiatives in Western markets may influence local operators or Topgolf's own expansion plans in regions like Southeast Asia or East Asia.

Specific details regarding Daly's involvement in any future Asian Topgolf activations, or the company's broader expansion strategy in the region, are not yet publicly available.
