Hong Kong-China secured a comprehensive victory at the Nomura Cup, concluding the tournament with a wire-to-wire performance at Bayhood No. 9 Golf Club in Beijing, China. The team demonstrated consistent play throughout the event, culminating in a strong final round. Markus Zachary Lam posted a 67, and Ethan Tian added a 69, contributing to their best daily score of 138.

This performance allowed Hong Kong-China to maintain their lead against formidable regional competitors. Japan finished as runner-up, with Kaito Sato recording a 68 and Taisei Nagasaki a 70, also achieving a final round 138.

South Korea staged a rally, posting a 136 in the third round and a 138 on the final day, with Joguk Jeong shooting a 68 and Jeyi Son a 70, to claim the bronze medal position.

Philippines Team Surpasses Regional Rivals Despite Missing Podium

The Philippine team concluded their campaign outside the podium, finishing 13 strokes behind the champions with a total score of 570. Despite not securing a medal, the Filipinos demonstrated resilience, surpassing several established regional golf powers including China, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, and dethroned champion Vietnam.

Jet Hernandez recorded a one-under-par 71 in the final round, while Rolando Bregente contributed a 73, making up the team's closing 144. Shinichi Suzuki's final round of 77 did not count towards the team's score. Hernandez expressed pride in the team's effort, noting their ability to compete with the region's top countries even without their best form throughout the week. The team began the final day five shots off the pace but struggled to maintain momentum on the back nine.
