Miura and Steph Curry Launch Exclusive Irons for Junior Golf
Japanese forged iron specialist Miura has partnered with NBA star Steph Curry to release a limited-edition iron set, with only 300 units available at US$5,000 each, benefiting the Underrated Golf Tour.

Miura Teams with Steph Curry for Charitable Iron Release
Japanese golf equipment manufacturer Miura has announced a collaboration with NBA superstar and avid golfer Steph Curry, introducing a limited-edition iron set. This exclusive release aims to generate funds for Curry's Underrated Golf Tour, an initiative dedicated to expanding access to competitive junior golf.
Only 300 sets of these unique irons will be produced, each priced at US$5,000. Anthony Neville, President of Miura Golf, stated that Curry's pursuit of excellence and dedication to his craft aligns perfectly with Miura's brand identity, making this partnership an ideal expression of shared focus on quality and achievement.
Distinctive Design and Customised Features
The Miura x Curry iron set combines two distinct models from the brand's line-up. The 4-, 5-, and 6-irons are based on Miura’s TC-202 forged cavity-back design, while the 7-iron through pitching wedge feature the MB-101 muscle-back blades.
Each iron showcases a durable QPQ (Quench-Polish-Quench) finish and carries Curry's personal branding, including his logo and his motto, “I can do all things,” engraved on the hosel. A unique detail is found on the 6-iron, which is stamped with “30”—Curry’s jersey number—and set at a 30-degree loft, deviating from the standard 29 degrees for this model.
The sets also include custom black-and-champagne ferrules and champagne-accented grips, each marked with four rings to commemorate Curry’s four NBA championships. Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts in an SC30 flex, equivalent to S400, complete the bespoke package.
Supporting Junior Golf Through the Underrated Tour
The primary beneficiary of this limited-edition collaboration is the Underrated Golf Tour, an initiative launched by Steph Curry in 2022. The tour's mission is to foster a more inclusive environment within competitive junior golf, providing talented but often overlooked young players with greater access to opportunities.
Beyond fully funded national competitions, the programme offers pathways to college scholarships, workforce development, and career counselling.
Curry expressed that Miura's dedication to perfection and precision, alongside its values of family, discipline, and integrity, form the foundational pillars of their partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the course.
Miura's Legacy of Craftsmanship and Market Impact
Miura, founded in 1977 by Katsuhiro Miura, has built a reputation for hand-crafted, high-end forged irons produced in limited quantities from its factory in Himeji, Japan. The company's proprietary forging process and stringent manufacturing tolerances have earned it a revered status among serious golfers.
This collaboration with Steph Curry not only reinforces Miura’s position in the premium golf equipment market but also demonstrates the potential for Asian golf brands to engage in high-profile philanthropic partnerships on a global scale.
While the Underrated Golf Tour primarily operates in the United States, the funds raised support a broader mission of expanding access and inclusivity in junior golf, a goal that resonates with junior golf development programmes across Asia. Future initiatives could see similar models adopted by other Asian brands to support golf development within the region.
