The Hoang Dong Golf Course, positioned to be the inaugural golf development in Vietnam's Lang Son province, is intensifying its final preparations ahead of an anticipated groundbreaking in November 2026. This project represents a significant investment, with total capital projected to exceed VND 1,322 billion.
Spanning approximately 193 hectares, the master plan outlines an 18-hole, international-standard golf course. Located strategically at the northern gateway, the Hoang Dong complex aims to integrate mountain terrain golf with cultural tourism, establishing a new destination for golfers seeking diverse experiences in Northeast Vietnam.
Integrated Tourism and Residential Offerings
Beyond the golf course, the Hoang Dong project is conceived as a comprehensive tourism, commercial, and resort complex. Plans include a five-star international hotel offering around 200 rooms, alongside a selection of luxury villas, apartments, and high-end residential units.
The development will also feature an entertainment complex, a commercial centre, and facilities dedicated to healthcare and education. Further enhancing its appeal, the complex is expected to house an antique exhibition centre and spaces for showcasing cultural-artistic products, aiming to provide a broad array of amenities for residents and visitors.
Final Preparations Underway
As of mid-September 2026, the Hoang Dong Golf Course project has advanced through major site clearance milestones. However, the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee is actively supervising relevant departments to resolve the remaining logistical challenges.
These include finalising the clearance of outstanding land areas and approving a comprehensive plan for the disposal of approximately 1.3 million cubic metres of surplus soil generated during the construction phase. The committee's guidance aims to ensure all preparatory work concludes by October 2026, meeting the necessary conditions for the scheduled November groundbreaking.

The completion of Hoang Dong Golf Course will significantly expand Vietnam's golf offerings, specifically by adding Lang Son to the national golf map.
