IMG, Hann Reserve Expand Philippine Luxury Golf Resort
The collaboration aims to establish Hann Reserve in New Clark City, Tarlac, as a leading luxury golf resort, with new courses by K.J. Choi and Faldo Design set to open.

IMG Partnership Expands for Hann Reserve Development
Global sports and entertainment firm IMG is deepening its strategic partnership with Hann Reserve, a Philippine golf and lifestyle resort. This expanded collaboration focuses on developing Hann Reserve into a prominent luxury destination within Asia. Located on a 450-hectare site in New Clark City, Tarlac, the resort's plans include multiple championship golf courses.
The partnership, which began during Hann Reserve's pre-opening phase, now aims to enhance guest experiences, refine operational standards, and broaden the resort's international marketing reach through IMG's global network in golf, travel, and hospitality. This move positions Hann Reserve to compete with established luxury golf hubs across the region.
New Courses and Operational Support
Under the renewed agreement, IMG will help translate Hann Reserve's physical development into a globally recognised brand. The resort's first course, Dragon's Landing, designed by Nicklaus Design, is already operational. Two additional 18-hole championship courses are scheduled to open, further expanding the golf offering.
Six Moons, a design by major champion K.J. Choi, is set to welcome players in late 2026. Following this, Caverns Deep, crafted by Faldo Design, will complete the trio.
Beyond course development, Hann Reserve will also gain membership in the IMG Prestige Network, an exclusive collection of golf clubs worldwide, providing reciprocal guest benefits and preferred access for its members across an elite global roster.
Large-Scale Investment in New Clark City
The Hann Reserve project represents a substantial investment, with its backers describing a total projected investment of $3–4 billion spread over eight to ten years. As of 2023, approximately $600 million had been spent.
More recent reporting indicates Hann Resorts' cumulative investment across its Clark holdings has exceeded PHP 50 billion, equivalent to around $873 million, to date. The total projected investment specifically for Hann Reserve remains approximately $4 billion.
Funding for the ongoing construction has included a PHP 9 billion (approximately $164.6 million) syndicated term loan secured from Asia United Bank and Union Bank of the Philippines. The resort's ambitions extend beyond golf to include luxury hotel brands, branded residences, retail spaces, a public park, and an international school.
Boosting Philippines' Global Golf Profile
This expanded partnership aims to significantly raise Hann Reserve's international profile, positioning the Philippines as a more competitive destination for luxury golf travel within Asia. For travelling golfers, the opening of Six Moons in late 2026, followed by Caverns Deep, will introduce new high-end course options in the region.
The collaboration with IMG is intended to ensure enhanced service standards and guest experiences, while global marketing efforts should make information on booking and access more readily available.
This development signals a strategic effort to attract affluent international visitors and could prompt other developers in established Asian golf markets, such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan, to consider similar partnerships to boost their own global visibility.
