The Stack System Launches Global Wedge Challenge

The Stack System, a golf technology company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, has introduced its Fall 2026 Seasonal Circuit, an eight-week global competition focused on refining wedge play. This new initiative, which commenced on October 3, aims to infuse structure, purpose, and a competitive edge into golfers' practice routines.

Dr. Sasho MacKenzie, co-founder of The Stack System, emphasised that the circuit is designed to transform routine ball-striking into a targeted skill development exercise. He stated that golfers approach practice differently when every shot yields a measurable outcome, providing the pressure, feedback, and competition often absent from individual sessions.

The programme is accessible to users of Stack Radar through TheStack App, allowing participants to engage from home or a driving range globally.

Competitive Format and Scoring Flexibility

Each week throughout the eight-week circuit, a new wedge combine is released, challenging players to master carry distance across a variety of target ranges. This format converts the often-abstract skill of distance control into a quantifiable metric, enabling golfers to precisely track their progress and identify areas for improvement.

Participants are encouraged to repeat each combine as many times as they wish, aiming to enhance their scores and ascend a global leaderboard, where they compete against other Stack System users worldwide.

To provide flexibility and acknowledge that players may miss sessions, only a golfer's best six results from the eight-week season contribute to their final score, permitting them to skip up to two weeks without compromising their overall standing.

Essential Technology for Participation

To participate in the Fall Seasonal Circuit, golfers require a Stack Radar device, an iPhone or iPad running TheStack App, and a suitable location for hitting golf balls. Combines can be performed by hitting into a net at home or at any driving range, with the Stack Radar automatically capturing shot data and transmitting it directly to the application.

This technology ensures precise measurement of each shot, delivering immediate and objective feedback crucial for structured practice and skill development. The Stack System, co-founded by Dr. Sasho MacKenzie and Marty Jertson, is known for its science-based golf speed training platform.

It combines patented adjustable-weight hardware, Bluetooth-enabled radar technology, and personalised software, backed by decades of biomechanics research and over 50 million recorded swings, serving a wide spectrum of golfers from recreational players to PGA TOUR professionals.

Implications for Asian Golfers

For golfers across Asia, the Stack System's Fall Seasonal Circuit presents a novel opportunity to engage in structured, performance-focused wedge practice, especially in regions where access to advanced coaching or dedicated short-game facilities may be less common.

The circuit's design, which allows participation from home or local driving ranges using portable technology, effectively addresses geographical barriers often encountered by golf enthusiasts in diverse Asian markets.

This global competitive framework could foster a stronger sense of community among Asian "Stackers", enabling them to benchmark their wedge skills against international peers and track their development over time.

As the season progresses, participation data will likely reveal regional adoption rates, potentially informing future product localisation efforts or enhanced support for the Asian market from The Stack System.

Asian golfers interested in improving their short game can still join the circuit, as the allowance for two missed weeks ensures a full qualifying season remains achievable even for late registrants.
